  • How wonderful to see this photo! My maiden name was Larkin and Mr. Larkin (Uncle Harry to me) was my grandad Len’s brother. My dad Ron inherited High Green Stores when Bill Larkin died. I wish he had kept it! Does anyone have any more memories of him or his shop?

  • Wow , Bill used to serve me in his shop every morning. I used to buy four sweets for a penny…..lovely memories. My parents (Tony and Sylvia Harrison) kept the Plough public house on the green. Bill sometimes came for christmas lunch with us and had a singalong round the piano which my mum played. We left the village about 1968 but i still have so many fantastic memories………..
